Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q2 i1 Grade-slippage due to incomplete assessment presentation was more severe for middle and lower parts of the grade distribution, but students at all levels slipped grades. → MM Casey and S McVitie 2009

Analysis of 2007-08 Physics 1Y data: a scatter-graph of assessment attempted versus final mark (Figure 1) and a cross-table projecting grades under maximal attendance (Figure 2), e.g. 0.6% of the class could have improved from a C-grade to an A-grade.

"The effect of incomplete assessment is, perhaps predictably, more severe for students in the middle and lower parts of the grade distribution but, as can be seen from the data in Figure 2, students at all levels slip grades due to this effect."
