Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i0 Among adolescents aged 14–17, TCT-DP creativity scores were positively correlated with active play (r = 0.148, p = 0.001). → Piya-amornphan N 2020
q2 i0 In children aged 6–9 and 10–13, the TCT-DP score was not associated with any of the three physical activity indicators. → Piya-amornphan N 2020 (2)

Cross-sectional Spearman correlation analysis in 439 adolescents aged 14–17 from Southern Thailand found a small positive correlation between active play and creativity: "r =0 . 1 4 8 ,p = 0.001". The correlation was absent in the two younger age groups.
"The correlation between the TCT-DP score representing creativity and active play was noticed in adolescents (r =0 . 1 4 8 ,p = 0.001), but not found in participants aged 6 – 13 years."

Spearman correlation analysis in the two younger age groups (n = 521 aged 6–9; n = 487 aged 10–13) found the TCT-DP score "was not associated with all three indicators of physical activity". Table 2 prints the coefficients, all negligible and non-significant: aged 6–9, active play r = 0.010, family and peers r = 0.056, sedentary behaviour r = −0.034; aged 10–13, r = 0.014, 0.020 and 0.056 respectively.
"In children aged 6 – 9 years and 10 – 13 years, the TCT- DP score was not associated with all three indicators of physical activity (Table 2)."
Discussion¶
Learner Variables¶
- Age and Developmental Stage — moderator: an instructional effect differs with it
Related Claims¶
- TCT-DP creativity scores increase with age group, and adolescents are the most sedentary — related
- Regression analysis showed creativity score was not dependent on active play — reports the opposite
- Active play is associated with time with family and peers in all age groups (r = 0.485) — related
- Anthropometric variables, body composition and hand grip strength show no correlation with creativity components in this sample — related
- The three physical activity indicators (active play, family/peers time, sedentary behavior) are all intercorrelated, with weak sedentary-behavior links — related
