Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q2 i? Students spent significantly more time on average interacting with the AI than with their human teacher, for Grade 4 (t(11)=2.58, p=.026) and Grade 5 (t(6)=3.97, p=.007). → Liao 2026

q2 · i? · causal · r1

Within-subjects quasi-experiment with 19 elementary students (12 Grade 4, 7 Grade 5), each completing two AI-led and two teacher-led sessions. Paired-samples t-tests on student-level means showed longer AI sessions: "t(11) = 2.58, p =.026" for Grade 4 and "t(6) = 3.97, p =.007" for Grade 5. No effect size printed.

"We found that students spent significantly more time, on average, interacting with the AI than with their human teacher. This was true for both Grade 4 students ( t(11) = 2.58, p =.026) and was even more pronounced for Grade 5 students (t(6) = 3.97, p =.007)."
