Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i2 A significant Time × Group interaction on mathematical performance (η²p = 0.103) was driven by the BCI group outperforming the sham group at post-test only. → Hou 2024

q3 · i2 · causal · r2
Randomized controlled experiment with 80 university students (40 BCI, 40 sham) learning algebra on an online platform. The repeated-measures ANOVA showed "a significant interaction effect between Measure Time (Pre-test & Post-test) and Group (BCI & Sham)", with η²p = 0.103 and post-test pbonf < 0.001.
"The results showed a significant interaction effect between Measure Time (Pre-test & Post-test) and Group (BCI & Sham) on mathematical perfor- mance (F (1,78) = 8.941, p = 0.004, η²p = 0.103). The BCI group had sig- nificantly higher mathematical performance than the sham feedback group on the post-test ( pbonf < 0.001)"
