Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q1 i? In the reported growth curves, when one limb or limb section increases relatively rapidly, other limbs or sections are retarded, having their acceleration at another time. → King 1930

Observation of the plotted percentage-increase curves for the two children (Charts I and II). The author reports "more or less acceleration" in parts such as the thigh of the oldest boy before creeping and walking, with apparent retardation of the same parts during development of that coordination. This is a visual pattern, hedged by the author.

"In the case of the oldest boy, especially, there appears to have been more or less acceleration in the growth of certain parts; e. g., of the thigh during the period preceding the development of creeping and walking, while there seemed to be a retardation of the same parts during the development of this co-ordination."
