q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i? Child-parent dyads generated more ideas (higher fluency) and more original ideas than child-stranger dyads, while the difference in appropriateness was not significant. → Bai 2026

Post-hoc ANOVAs following a significant MANOVA (Pillai's Trace = 0.15, F(3, 98), p < .001) on dyad-level AUT measures showed "the child-parent dyads generated more as well as more original ideas than the child-stranger dyads"; appropriateness did not differ significantly. No standardized effect size was printed for this contrast.
"The ANOVA test results (see Table 3) showed that the child-parent dyads generated more as well as more original ideas than the child-stranger dyads, but the difference in their appropriateness was not significant."
Discussion¶
Related Claims¶
- Actor and partner effects of perspective taking were moderated by subject type and dyad type, with children of child-stranger dyads particularly benefitting from their own Listen/understand and Extend/revise behaviors — related
- Regardless of dyad type, dyads' Extend/revise and Recognize/agree behaviors facilitated fluency, while child-parent dyad type showed a negative effect — reports the opposite
- Child-parent dyads manifested more cognitive perspective taking than child-stranger dyads, but no group difference was found in social-emotional perspective taking — related
- Dyads showing more Listen/understand and Extend/revise behaviour produced more original ideas regardless of dyad type, while no social-emotional perspective-taking measure was significantly associated with originality — related
