Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i1 Retrieval fluency, operationalized as choice latency, was available as a valid cue: correct recognition was associated with shorter choice latencies than incorrect recognition. → Kristin Kolloff 2025

Multilevel analysis of within-person Gamma correlations between choice latency and recognition correctness in 214 kindergarteners confirmed cue validity (OR = 1.20, p < 0.01). Children responded faster on correct than incorrect answers at both measurement points.

"Results revealed that retrieval fluency as a cue was available for the children, both pretest and posttest (γ = 0.18, SE = 0.07, OR = 1.20, z = 2.76, p < 0.01; see Appendix Figure D1)."
