q3 i? Higher fall and spring HTKS scores were associated with higher SSRS Social Skills scores and lower Problem Behavior scores, supporting the HTKS as a measure of self-regulation for first graders. → Connor Carol McDonald 2010

HLM analysis of teacher SSRS ratings for 398 (88%) of the 445 students, controlling for the nested data structure. Inter-rater reliability for HTKS videotape scoring was .95 for self-corrections and .98 overall.
"Higher scores on both the fall HTKS or the spring HTKS were associated with higher scores on the SSRS Social Skills scale and lower scores on the Problem Behavior scale. These associations remained similar, albeit somewhat weaker, when we controlled for students' fall vocabulary scores."
