Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i3 In Experiment 1, the overlap in confidence range was larger in the help-seeking than in the don't-know condition, t(50) = 3.40, p = 0.001, d = 0.94. → Monika Undorf 2021

Experiment 1 (54 undergraduates, between-participants design) compared confidence ranges associated with submitting versus using the available strategy, shown in Fig. 1. The overlap was "larger in the help-seeking than in the don't-know condition, t(50) = 3.40, p = 0.001, d = 0.94".

"The resulting overlap in confidence range was larger in the help-seeking than in the don't-know condition, t(50) = 3.40, p = 0.001, d = 0.94. This difference was due to higher maximum confidence associated with strategy use in the help-seeking than in the don't-know condition, t(50) = 2.55, p = 0.014, d = 0.71."
