q2 i? Test-retest correlations over 3-14 months show learning patterns are rather stable yet susceptible to educational influence. → Vermunt 2004

Vermunt, J. D. & Vermetten, Y. J. (2004). Patterns in Student Learning: Relationships Between Learning Strategies, Conceptions of Learning, and Learning Orientations. Educational Psychology Review. https://dspacelibrary.uu.nl/handle/1874/11958
q2 · i? · review · r2
Narrative review of repeated-administration studies (Busato et al. 1998; Vermetten et al. 1999a; Minnaert and Van der Hulst 2000; Vermunt 1998) reporting test-retest correlations on ILS scales. The review concludes patterns are "rather high" in stability but changeable; no single pooled effect size is printed.
"Studies in which the ILS was administered twice to the same group of students with time intervals ranging from 3–14 months, show that the stability of learning patterns is rather high, but not so high that they should be conceptualized as unchangeable phenomena."
