Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i? In the 2016-17 sample, Likert scales of SET significantly predicted the topic probabilities of Topics 2, 4 and 6, while in the 2017-18 sample the Likert scales were associated with all six topic probabilities. → Hujala 2020

Multilevel regression analysis (three-level random intercept models, one per topic) fitted separately to the 2016-17 and 2017-18 samples, using Likert-scale SET dimensions as independent variables and LDA topic probabilities as dependent variables. In the 2017-18 sample "the Likert scales are associated with all six topic probabilities".
"As shown in Table 5, Likert scales of SET can predict the topic probabilities of topics 2, 4 and 6."

- LDA topics capture unique information not covered by Likert-scale SET questions — related
- Topic 4 (dissatisfaction with workload) contradicts thematic analysis and appears invalid — related
- LDA topic modelling of 6,087 written student feedback responses yields six SET-related topics — related
