Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i? First-trial self-scored retrieval success was higher for Map B (82%) than for Map A (73%), and overall success was higher for Map B (87%) than Map A (77%). → Shana K. Carpenter and Harold Pashler 2007

Secondary analysis of self-scoring during the test/study phase of the map-learning experiment: subjects covertly recalled missing features more successfully for Map B than Map A, both on the first 12 trials, t(48) = 2.11, p < .05, and across all trials, t(48) = 2.54, p < .02. Subjects also completed more test trials for Map B (M = 22.15) than Map A (M = 18.65), but this difference was not significant (t = 1.46).

"For the first 12 trials, the subjects scored an average of 82% on Map B ( SD 14%) and 73% on Map A (SD 14%) [t(48) 2.11, p .05]."
