q3 i? In an fMRI emotional Stroop study using rejection-themed words, mid-adolescents aged 14-16 showed attenuated right vlPFC responses relative to adults during processing of rejection-related words compared with neutral and acceptance words. → Ahmed Saz P. 2015

An fMRI study of 35 female participants (19 adolescents aged 14-16, 16 adults aged 23-28) performing a rejection-themed emotional Stroop task. The review reports adolescents made more errors overall and showed attenuated right vlPFC response to rejection words.
"Sebastian et al. (2010b) used a rejection-themed emotional Stroop task with fMRI, and found that mid-adolescents (aged 14–16) showed attenuated right vlPFC responses relative to adults during the processing of rejection-related words compared with neutral and acceptance words."
