q2 i? In a qualitative interview study with 14 participants, all completed the tasks and the tools received very positive SEQ task-difficulty and UEQ-S user-experience assessments. → Julián Méndez 2026

Preregistered qualitative study: 14 participants (3 female, 11 male) in semi-structured think-aloud interviews solved seven tasks on a faulty Datalog program. "All participants completed all the tasks within the time limit", and SEQ/UX assessments were very positive; no effect sizes are reported.
"All participants completed all the tasks within the time limit. Figure 3 shows the average TD scores, while Figure 4 shows the equivalent for UX."

Related Claims¶
- The with/without-tools difficulty gap narrowed as graph size grew, which the authors read as a positive indication of scalability — related
- Perceived task difficulty with the tools was rated much easier than imagined difficulty without them, with gaps of at least 2.5 SEQ points on every task — related
- UEQ-S user-experience ratings were positive across tasks except one hedonic item on Task 1, with pragmatic qualities rated higher than hedonic — related
- Participants with higher subject expertise completed tasks and used the tools more easily than less experienced participants — related
