Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i? The P2/N2 complex was consistently larger in old high than old low performers, with some conditions showing larger amplitudes than young adults. → Patrick D. Gajewski 2020

Stroop task performance across the lifespan: High cognitive reserve in older age is associated with enhanced proactive and reactive interference control. Target-locked ERP analysis of the P2/N2 complex at FCz. A main effect of Group (ηp2 = 0.064) and a significant Group x Block x Congruity interaction (ηp2 = 0.026) showed "consistently larger P2/N2 in OH than OL", and specific conditions showed larger amplitudes in OH than YA or OM.
"Bonferroni corrected post-hoc tests yielded consistently larger P2/N2 in OH than OL ( /C0 6.2 vs. /C0 5.2 μV; p < .001), whereas the difference did not reach signi ficance for other group comparisons."

Related Claims¶
- CNV and P2/N2 amplitudes are correlated in old high performers but not in other groups — related
- Executive-control tasks discriminate old performance groups while speed, attention and memory tests show less consistent or no differences — related
- Interference control declines with increasing age and increasing Stroop task difficulty in speed, consistency and accuracy — related
- Old high performers reach a Stroop performance level comparable to middle-aged or even young adults — related
- Old high performers show larger CNV amplitudes than old middle and low performers, comparable to middle-aged and young adults — related
