Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i? Understanding of matching polarity improved significantly (p = .039) and mistakes in missing connections were significantly reduced (p = .031); improvements in connection type, redundant connections, and crossing lines/short circuits were not statistically significant. → Ioannou 2025

McNemar tests on individual pre/post knowledge exercises (n = 22) scoring connection, polarity, and current flow as present/absent. Table 3 reports polarity matched rising from 1 to 8 and missing connections falling from 10 to 4; only p = .039 and p = .031 reach significance.
"There was a significant improvement of students' understanding of matching polarity (p = .039) and a significant reduction in their mistakes in relation to missing connections (p = .031). Last, we found an improvement, albeit not statistically significant, of students' understanding of the remaining features of a simple circuit."
