The review's narrative synthesis of 55 studies (19 qualitative, 30 quantitative, 6 mixed methods) found that "positive teacher-student relationships were associated with each of the other aspects of wellbeing outlined in the PERMA model" as well as overall wellbeing. Results were synthesised narratively due to heterogeneity in measures and methods.
"Results suggested that positive teacher-student relationships were associated with each of the other aspects of wellbeing outlined in the PERMA model (positive emotions, engagement, meaning, and accomplishment) as well as overall wellbeing."
