Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i? In Oshri et al. (2018), self-esteem and school engagement were associated at all three waves with no differences between longitudinal correlations, indicating a reciprocal association; Marques (2016) similarly found reciprocal influence between hope and engagement. → Anabela Caetano Santos 2023

Anabela Caetano Santos 2023¶
Anabela Caetano Santos, Celeste Simões, Márcia H.S. Melo, Margarida F. Santos, Iara Freitas, Cátia Branquinho, Carmel Cefai, Patrícia Arriaga. (2023). Four-wave longitudinal study of 1461 vulnerable US youth (Oshri et al., 2018) reported in Table 2: self-esteem and SE correlated at rT1 = .32, rT2 = .29, rT3 = .26, with cross-lagged associations in both directions. Marques (2016) likewise reports "a reciprocal influence" between hope and SE.
"Longitudinal comparison of correlation coefficients showed no differences, meaning that self- esteem and SE seem to have a reciprocal association over time."
