Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i2 In experiment 2 (MTT), the correlation with response time was significantly weaker for confidence than for goal-driven effort appraisals (η2 = 0.06); other pairwise contrasts were not significant. → Emely Hoch 2023

Online experiment with 224 Prolific participants solving 30 missing tan task (MTT) items in four appraisal groups. ANOVA on within-participant appraisal-response time correlations showed a "significant medium effect of appraisal type" with η2 = 0.06; only the confidence–goal-driven effort contrast reached significance (p = 0.002).

"There was a significant medium effect of appraisal type, F(3, 220) = 4.51, MSE = 0.08, p< 0.005,η2 = 0.06. Post hoc pairwise comparisons showed that the correlation with response time was significantly weaker for confidence than for goal-driven effort appraisals, p = 0.002."
