Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i? Scaffolding did not have a significant effect on the quality of the group paper compared to the control condition, with r = 0.19 indicating a small to medium positive effect. → Molenaar 2010

Planned comparisons in a randomized experiment with 52 triads (16 control, 33 scaffolding) compared the control group with the two scaffolding conditions on quality of the group paper. The article reports t(49) = 1.39, p > 0.05, r = 0.19, a "small to medium positive effect" that was not significant.
"scaffolding did not have a significant effect on group performance, t (49) = 1.39; p[ 0.05 (one tailed) see, Table 3. The effect size r = 0.19, however, indicated a small to medium positive effect of scaffolding on group performance."
