Description¶
Adaptive G-UKT is a knowledge tracing framework that models each learner's evolving latent state as a Gaussian distribution rather than a point vector, tracking "semantic activation levels and estimation confidence through diagonal covariance". It couples an end-to-end differentiable Adaptive Graph Topology Learner, an Adaptive Gaussian-HGNN that propagates means and variances across the learned topology, a Wasserstein attention mechanism for distribution-aware sequence retrieval, and an uncertainty-guided contrastive learning strategy for robustness against noisy interactions.
Accounts¶
- Adaptive G-UKT: a unified probabilistic knowledge tracing framework coupling Gaussian state representations, adaptive graph topology learning, Wasserstein attention, and uncertainty-gated contrastive regularization: Adaptive G-UKT is a knowledge tracing framework that models each learner's evolving latent state as a Gaussian distribution rather than a point vector, tracking "semantic activation levels and estimation confidence through diagonal covariance". Claims¶
- Adaptive G-UKT reportedly establishes competitive state-of-the-art knowledge tracing performance, particularly under sparse observation regimes [+W]
- Visualization analysis indicates the learned graph topology recovers interpretable relational structures such as modular node clusters and directed dependency hierarchies [+W]
- Existing deep sequential knowledge tracing encoders treat concept nodes as isolated deterministic vectors, limiting handling of structural sparsity and epistemic uncertainty [+W]
