Description¶
LST-R is a longitudinal latent measurement framework distinguishing stable traits from situationally fluctuating states: "latent traits typically change little over time and situations (although trait change is possible), while latent states reflect the influence of persons in situations or person × situation interactions". The article applies its latent single-trait multiple-states model to parent-child outcomes with up to four repeated measures, estimating the ICC for each outcome and testing treatment effects on state variability at T2 and T3 after removing trait variance. It was adopted because prior pre-post designs conflated trait-like and state-like variability.
Accounts¶
- Latent Trait-State Theory (Revised) applied as a latent single-trait multiple-states model for intervention outcomes: LST-R is a longitudinal latent measurement framework distinguishing stable traits from situationally fluctuating states: "latent traits typically change little over time and situations (although trait change is possible), while latent states reflect the influence of persons in situations or person × situation interactions".
