Hold open community visioning meetings to build a shared school improvement plan¶

Description¶
When Los Padillas faced MRI designation and possible closure, district staff held three community meetings in late 2017 and early 2018, asking families three questions: "What do you see or not see happening in your school?", "What would you like to see happening in your school right now?", and "What are the barriers in the way of success?" The priorities that emerged—dual language learning, reviving the wildlife sanctuary, and extracurricular access—shaped the school's mission and redesign plan.
