Description¶
The brief concludes with a reflection exercise helping teachers and school leaders situate their family engagement practices within the three documented engagement approaches, "each of which reflect distinct purposes, decision structures, and relationships with families." It poses five question sets covering relationships with families, intentions and goals, structures for engagement, communication with parents, and what to continue or change. The authors also point to a discussion protocol developed by colleagues at the Network for College Success as an additional resource for reflection and discussion.
