Description¶
The intervention's core implementable activity is delivering Absence Reports to parents and guardians containing "actionable, personalized information about their student's attendance." Districts first securely share attendance data, the program identifies students most at risk of chronic absenteeism and most likely to benefit, and reports with content tailored for each student are mailed directly home. This low-cost communication strategy was tested in two randomized evaluations and produced statistically significant reductions in absences.
