Description¶
Responding to the digital revolution and the multiplication of information sources, the report recommends organizing education as a network of learning spaces. It states that changes in the spaces, times and relations of learning 'favours the idea of a network of learning spaces where non-formal and informal spaces of learning will increasingly need to interact with and complement formal educational institutions.' Education should not be reduced to classroom schooling; innovative mechanisms beyond the classroom are needed.
