Description¶
One of the framework's five pathways: "AI tools should be embedded in physical education, sport clubs, counseling services, peer-led activities, and referral pathways instead of remaining isolated individual apps". The rationale is that students' regulation demands are distributed across classrooms, peer networks, sport clubs, and counseling systems, so support must integrate the social ecology rather than target an isolated user–system dyad.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Teachers, coaches, counselors, and sport psychologists retain responsibility for interpreting AI outputs and supporting referral decisions
Constraints¶
- No forced disclosure of emotional data; students participate in co-design voluntarily
Target Learners¶
- university students
Target Learning Goals¶
- coordinated campus support for emotion regulation
- peer belonging and social connection
Affordances¶
- Human Technology Environment Framework Emotion Regulation
Related Strategies¶
- Use AI to support autonomy-supportive task adaptation in physical education rather than algorithmic exercise prescription
- Align peer mindset interventions with teacher practices and broader classroom context rather than isolating them
