Description¶
The authors recommend that networked learning communities be given feedback from the multi-method analyses repeatedly during their activity, not only at the end, so participants can reflect more strategically on their performance and decide how to move forward. They write that "NLCs should be provided (and create this themselves) with feedback on SNA, CA and C /C2A repeatedly during their activity". This extends the multi-method framework from a research instrument into a support tool for the community itself.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- the multi-method analyses (SNA, CA, C/C2A) must be conducted repeatedly during the community's activity
Constraints¶
- the authors frame this as a direction for future research and support design, not as a tested intervention in this study
Target Learners¶
- participants and tutors in networked learning communities
Target Learning Goals¶
- strategic self- and group-regulation of collaborative learning
