Reuse and adapt existing scenarios to make repeated TTX delivery sustainable¶
Strategy · All strategies

Description¶
Because creating a TTX from scratch is time-consuming, the authors recommend reusing and adapting existing scenarios: once well-specified and implemented, redeploying for a new cohort requires only adjusting contextual details, refining content from previous runs, and assigning participants to a new instance. The open-source exercise library accelerates this by giving new designers a starting point.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Scenarios must be treated as assets that accumulate value over time
Constraints¶
Target Learners¶
- undergraduate cybersecurity students across successive cohorts
Target Learning Goals¶
- incident handling and response practice at scale
Related Strategies¶
- Use generative AI as a preparation accelerator for bounded execution-level tasks, not as a design partner
- Support instructors during execution with predefined email templates and instructor notes
