Strategy-detail-verify educator review of generated representation variants¶
Strategy · All strategies
Evidence · no claims cited
Description¶
The paper recommends structuring instructor review of each generated card representation in three levels, adapted from SPHERE's strategy-detail-verify workflow. "For strategy, the system explains why a particular representation was generated"; at the detail level the educator inspects the specific generated content; at the verification level the educator approves, edits, or rejects the variant. The generated variant is surfaced alongside the original semantic fields so the educator can check whether it preserves the learning objective, introduces factual or conceptual errors, and remains appropriate for target learners.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Educators must be able to preview and edit representations; the system remains an authoring assistant, not an autonomous teacher
Constraints¶
- Dedicated interface design for multi-representation authoring remains largely unexplored, per the authors
Target Learners¶
- Non-technical educators reviewing AI-generated content
Target Learning Goals¶
- Maintaining content accuracy and pedagogical alignment of AI-generated representations
Related Strategies¶
- Card Based Design Time Genui Paradigm
- Representation-specific validation of generated educational content across modalities
- Mitigate extraction errors by requiring high-resolution PDFs, equation-editor equations, and legible graph axes, units, and legends
