Disrupt the performative assessment cycle through structural assessment reform rather than technological solutionism¶

Description¶
The article argues that humanizer services are a diagnostic signal of a feedback loop in which assessment demands, student behavior, and commercial services are mutually implicated, and that "disrupting this cycle must be achieved through structural assessment reform, rather than technological solutionism." New detection or evasion tools may not interrupt the loop because each layer is inhabited by commercial interests with no structural incentive to do so. The recommendation follows from the authors' structural analysis rather than from a tested intervention.
