Description¶
The article's pedagogical recommendation is that EFL and IELTS teachers adopt interactionist Dynamic Assessment in writing classes. Teachers should "generate new prompts and strategies to provide more opportunities for the learners to interact, constantly become assessed, and receive prompts/hints until they can accomplish the task on themselves." The strategy replaces one-step, psychometric writing assessment with continuous, interaction-based mediation in which the teacher's individual feedback is shaped by each learner's responses.
