Description¶
A vocabulary activity, adapted from Haley (2010), in which each student is assigned a word, records other words heard or read that help describe it, and draws a picture of what the word evokes. The article reports that "Students were assigned a different vocabulary word" and that "a picture of what the word reminded them of or looked like in their mind was drawn by the students." It is offered as a sample class activity for improving vocabulary knowledge in ELT classes.
