Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i2 ADHD participants became more original under competition (Mcompetition = 1.92, Mno competition = 1.72), whereas control participants did not (Mcompetition = 1.79, Mno competition = 1.71). → Boot Nathalie 2017
q3 i? The group × competition interaction on idea originality was significant, F(1, 87) = 4.67, p = .034, ηp2 = .05, though pairwise ADHD-versus-control comparisons were not significant in either condition. → Boot Nathalie 2017

Study 2, a lab experiment with 46 adults with ADHD and 44 controls, manipulated competition within subjects during the Alternate Uses Task with age as covariate. The repeated-measures ANOVA showed the ADHD group "became more original under competition" while controls did not; the omnibus interaction was significant (ηp2 = .05).
"However, ADHD participants became more original under competition (Mcompetition = 1.92, Mno competition = 1.72), F(1, 87) = 12.24, p = .001, ηp2 = .12, whereas control participants did not (Mcompetition = 1.79, Mno competition = 1.71), F(1, 87) = 0.10, p = .749, ηp2 < .01"

- Competition raises idea originality for all participants but does not affect fluency or flexibility — a broader claim this one bears on
- Intrinsic motivation during idea generation does not differ between adults with ADHD and controls — related
- Medication use does not affect creativity measures in adults with ADHD — related
