Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i? In Experiment 2, with the generate-versus-read manipulation between paragraphs, a generation advantage occurred on both the first and second paragraph tests. → deWinstanley 2004

Mixed-design experiment with 68 students in which encoding task switched between paragraphs, denying participants the experience of both item types on the same test. The ANOVA showed "a gener- ation advantage [F (1,66) /H110056.38" with no order effect [F(1,66) = 1.01, p < .30].

"And indeed, this apparent result was confirmed by the outcome of a mixed analy- sis of variance (ANOV A), which revealed both a gener- ation advantage [F (1,66) /H110056.38, MSe /H11005520.03, p /H11021 .01], and that the advantage for generated items occurred in the absence of an order effect"
