Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i3 In a within-subjects experiment, pairs that received a reminder on Day 2 were recognised more accurately on Day 3 than pairs that received no reminder. → Michael Batashvili 2022

q2 · i3 · causal · r2
A 2×2 repeated-measures ANOVA on associative recognition accuracy in a three-day within-subjects experiment with 40 young adults. The reminder main effect was significant, with reminder pairs at Mean = 92% versus 85% for no reminder. The article prints "η² = 0.22" for this effect.
"For accuracy, there was a significant main effect of reminder, F(1,39) = 29.43, p < 0.001, η² = 0.22, BF 10 = 0.75, showing that participants had greater accuracy for pairs where a reminder was employed"
Discussion¶
Related Claims¶
- In Experiment 1, reminder+interference produced better associative recognition than interference alone, contrary to reconsolidation-interference predictions — related
- In Experiment 1, reminders speeded and interference slowed recognition response times, with reminder+interference faster than interference alone — related
- Across item recognition, associative recognition, and free recall paradigms, reminder-potentiated behavioural interference did not impair declarative memory within-subjects — a broader claim this one bears on
- In Experiment 1, reminder+interference yielded greater recollection strength than interference alone on Remember/Know judgments — related
