Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i? An inductive review of the 13 coded meta-analyses identified five salient TPACK-related moderator categories: grade level, assessment, duration, instructional modality, and mathematics subject matter. → Young 2016

The review coded study features in four categories (sample, measurement, design, source) with inter-rater agreement of 94.4% (Cohen's κ = .927), then inductively identified the five moderator categories "through repetition and statistical significance." The moderators were mapped onto TPK, TCK, and the overall TPACK construct.
"These five categories of TPACK related moderators were: (1) grade level, (2) asses sment, (3) duration, (4) instructional modality, and (5) mathematics subject matter."

Related Claims¶
- CBI/CAI effects on mathematics achievement vary from small to medium, with duration and instructional modality as statistically significant moderators — related
- Calculator effects on mathematics achievement tend to converge at moderate effectiveness, with grade level and assessment as statistically significant moderators — related
- Relational-understanding technologies show the most divergent effects (.09 to 1.02), moderated by grade level, duration, and mathematics subject matter — a narrower finding that bears on this claim
- Science-related subject areas (mathematics, science, medical science) show larger effects than programming technology and other fields — related
