Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i? Participants with genAI access rated the chunk-based reasoning task as less difficult than participants without genAI access. → Dawid Ratajczyk 2026

q3 · i? · causal · r3

Stage 1 perceived difficulty, self-reported on a 7-point scale in the same preregistered lab experiment. A 2×2 ANOVA showed a significant main effect of genAI access; the quoted means show lower difficulty ratings in the genAI group, with no standardised effect size printed for this contrast.

"Participants in the no-genAI group reported higher perceived difficulty (𝑀= 4.71,𝑆𝐷= 1.42) than participants in the genAI group (𝑀= 4.17,𝑆𝐷= 1.48; Figure5)."
