Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i? Learners in conditions without illusion of control performed better on transfer than learners in conditions with illusion of control (F(1,84)=4.29, p=0.041, ω²=4%). → Pieter Wouters 2008

q3 · i? · causal · r2

Randomized 2×3 factorial experiment with 90 pre-university pupils assigned to six conditions (15 each). ANOVA on transfer scores (0–12) showed a significant main effect of illusion of control, "F(1, 84) = 4.29, MSE = 6.73, p = 0.041, w2 = 4%", favoring the no-illusion conditions (M=5.46 vs M=4.32).

"With regard to performance on transfer a main effect of Illusion of control was observed (F(1, 84) = 4.29, MSE = 6.73, p = 0.041, w2 = 4%). Learners in the conditions without illusion of control performed better on transfer than learners in the conditions with illusion of control ( M = 5.46, SD = 2.74 vs. M = 4.32, SD = 2.42)."
