Two quasi-experimental studies (Tuttle et al. 2015 middle school QED and high school analysis) met standards with reservations; both reported statistically significant positive state standardized science test effects, yielding a "potentially positive effects" rating. Appendix C.3 prints the WWC-computed effect sizes: 0.25 (+10) for the middle school QED and 0.33 (+13) for the high school analysis, and 0.29 (+11) across both studies.
"In the t wo studies that reported findings, the estimated impact of the intervention on outcomes in the science achievement domain was positive and statistically significant."
