q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i0 Across four studies including 20,804 students, KIPP had positive effects on English language arts achievement, with an average improvement index of +8 percentile points (range +6 to +13). → Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) 2018

WWC review of four studies; Table 4 rates ELA achievement "Positive effects" with average improvement index +8 (range +6 to +13) from "20,804" students. One study met standards without reservations. One TerraNova reading finding lost significance after multiple-comparison correction. Appendix C.2 prints the WWC-computed effect sizes: domain averages of 0.14, 0.16 and 0.15 for the three Tuttle et al. (2015) analyses and 0.32 for Woodworth et al. (2008), and 0.19 across all studies (the +8 improvement index is computed from it). By this wiki's scale that average is below d 0.2, so impact is coded i0; the WWC still rates the domain "Positive effects" because the findings are statistically significant.
"In the four studies that reported findings, the estimated impact of the intervention on outcomes in the English language arts achievement domain was positive and statistically significant"
