Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i3 An ANOVA revealed large differences in knowledge-test scores between school types (η2 = 0.355), with academic-track students scoring significantly higher than both other groups. → Mulders 2025

q3 · i3 · causal · r1
ANOVA on the four-item VR-only knowledge test (experimental condition, 108 students, mean 4.61 of 8 points). Academic-track students (M = 6.36) outscored combined-school (M = 4.49) and high-school (M = 2.88) students; combined also beat high school (p = 0.003).
"An ANOVA revealed differences in the knowledge score between school types, F(2, 105) = 28.84; p < 0.001; η2 = 0.355. Students in the academic track high schools (M = 6.36; SD = 1.70) scored significantly higher on the knowledge test than students from the combined school group (M = 4.49, SD = 2.43; p < 0.001) and the high school group (M = 2.88, SD = 1.75; p < 0.001)."
Discussion¶
Related Claims¶
- Theory of Mind skills differed substantially across the three populations, with German children scoring highest and Ovambo children lowest
- School type significantly predicted change in environmental-protection attitudes, with academic-track students changing more than combined-school students
- The VR application did not increase students' interest in biodiversity, and only the academic-track control group showed a significant interest increase
