Subclaims¶
Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i? In the reanalysis of Szulewski et al. (2017) data, a quadratic model for the mental effort–response time relation was preferred over linear, with a significant quadratic term. → Jimmie Leppink & Patricia Pérez-Fuster 2019

Reanalysis of repeated-measurement data (16 questions per participant, 32 participants) from Szulewski et al. (2017) using two-level mixed-effects models; both AIC and BIC preferred the quadratic model, and the quadratic term was significant: "F1, 446.066 = 22.166, p <0 . 0 0 1 ,B = 0.514".
"In Szulewski et al. (2017), we gain about 0.025 in R2M by going from Model 1 to Model 2, while the gain of adding further complexity is almost zero. In Model 2, we find for the quadratic term: F1, 446.066 = 22.166, p <0 . 0 0 1 ,B = 0.514, and 95% CI = [0.300; 0.728]."
