Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i3 ANCOVA controlling for IQ showed a significant group effect on self-image (F(3, 211) = 3.84, p < .05, ηp2 = .11, 1 - β = .81), with MLD children (M = 3.21) significantly lower than TA (M = 3.76) and HA (M = 3.98) children. → Lai Y 2015

ANCOVA on four achievement groups (MLD n = 18, LA n = 29, TA subsample n = 30, HA n = 19) with IQ as covariate. LSD post hoc comparisons showed MLD self-image "significantly lower than TA and HA groups"; the MLD-LA difference was only approaching significance (p = .05).

"When controlling for IQ, the main effect of mathematics achievement group was significant, F (3, 211) = 3.84, p < .05, ηp 2 = .11, 1 - β = .81."
