Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q1 i? Content analysis of open-ended survey responses (n = 20) and interviews (n = 4) yielded seven themes; algorithmic thinking was the most frequent (20 mentions, 28%), followed by fundamentals of programming (18%) and fun learning (14%). → Saltan 2017

Qualitative case-study component of the mixed-methods study: content analysis of treatment-group survey responses and four semi-structured interviews coded in Nvivo8 produced "seven themes" including algorithmic thinking, fun learning, reducing bias, explorative learning, progressive thinking and scaffolding.

"There were seven themes which explain the contribution of OAV to students' learning of programming language (see Figure 3)."
