Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i2 The Age 4-to-Age 5 increase in serial order reconstruction performance predicted the increase in vocabulary knowledge after controlling for increase in Raven's matrices (r = .34, p<.05). → Leclercq 2010 q3 i0 The increase in nonword repetition performance did not predict the increase in vocabulary knowledge once increase in Raven's matrices was controlled (r = .00, p = .98). → Leclercq 2010

Difference-score partial correlation analyses on the 45-participant valid dataset, subtracting Age 4 from Age 5 performance. Serial order STM gain showed "r = .34, p<.05" with vocabulary gain; item STM gain showed "r = .00, p = .98".

"Partial correlation analyses revealed that only the increase of performance on the serial order reconstruction task, as measured by the number of correct positions recalled, predicted the increase in vocabulary knowledge after control of increase in Raven's matrices performances (r = .34, p<.05). In contrast, the performance increase in nonword repetition task didn't predict the increase in vocabulary knowledge once increase in Raven's matrices performances were controlled for (r = .00, p = .98)."
