Yen-Fen Lee, Gwo-Jen Hwang, Pei-Ying Chen. (2025). Technology-based interactive guidance to promote learning performance and self-regulation: a chatbot-assisted self-regulated learning approach. Education Tech Research Dev. https://doi.org/10.1007/s11423-025-10478-x
q2 · i2 · causal · r2
A quasi-experiment with two intact classes of sophomores (experimental N = 23, control N = 24) in an Introduction to Multimedia course; ANCOVA on posttest knowledge adjusting for pretest showed "a significant difference between the two groups" with F = 5.46, p < 0.05, η² = 0.11 (Table 2).
"There was a significant difference between the two groups after excluding the impact of the pretest scores (F = 5.46, p < 0.05). This indicates that the students who learned via the SRL with chatbot-guided feedback mechanism performed better than those who adopted conventional SRL"
