Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i? In Study 1, a two-way within-subjects ANOVA showed significant pre-post gains (F = 10.61, df = 104, p < 0.01), no strong evidence of testing effects (F = 1.11, p = 0.29), and no pretest-treatment interaction (F = 0.36, p = 0.55). → Martinez-Garza 2017

Study 1 was a pilot with 86 9th graders in a Solomon four-group design; treatment groups played EPIGAME for three 90-minute sessions while non-treatment groups took normal instruction. The ANOVA showed "significant pre-post gains" with no testing effect or interaction.
"Two-way within-subjects ANOVA (Table 1) performed on the assessment data showed that students in Study 1 made significant pre-post gains (F = 10.61, df = 104, p < 0.01), with no strong evidence in favor of testing effects (F = 1.11, df = 104, p = 0.29) or interactions between pre-test scores and treatment (F = 0.36, df = 104, p = 0.55)."

Related Claims¶
- Multimedia treatment, prior science level, and unit pre-test level each independently influence electricity achievement, with no significant two-way or three-way interactions — related
- Playing EPIGAME produced a large, statistically significant pre-to-post gain in conceptual understanding of force and motion in 7th graders — related
- Both sequencing groups improved in conceptual and procedural knowledge, with no significant group-by-time interaction — related
