In the same WWC subsample analysis of the randomized controlled trial, the PPVT-R showed effect size –0.11 (mean difference –2.35, favoring comparison) and Morphology showed 0.18; both were ns. Fewer than a third of Morphology words were included in the intervention, and PPVT-R is a standardized test of untaught vocabulary.
"The WWC analysis of the English language learner subsample found no statistically significant and no substantively important impacts on the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-Revised (PPVT-R) and the Morphology measure."
