Closed-loop qualitative coding mechanism for student mental health interviews¶
Element · All elements

Description¶
A qualitative analysis mechanism built on three thematic questions following the sequence "current situation perception (focus point) → obstacle identification (pain points) → solution pathways (best practices)." It uses keyword extraction, frequency statistics with quantitative conversion, one-to-many sub-item splitting of composite responses, and anchoring with typical examples to validate coding. The 671 interview records were split into 1,292 valid coded responses, and cross-group validation compared student and teacher perspectives.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Trained researchers, semi-structured interview protocols, recorded and transcribed interviews with participant consent.
Constraints¶
- The article states qualitative samples from selected cities "cannot strictly or specifically interpret all findings from quantitative studies; they serve primarily as macro-level references for partial trends."
Target Learners¶
- secondary vocational school students
Target Learning Goals¶
- identifying student psychological development needs and effective support forms
